If you are looking for a stylish rechargeable toothbrush, you just found it. The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean HX9392 electric toothbrush with it’s charger glass and 5 different color editions looks good in every bathroom. Read the review to find out if the brushing abilities match the design.
Philips Sonicare DiamondClean HX9332
This is a stylish sonic toothbrush lacking a pressure sensor and connectivity.
The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean HX9392 is a sonic toohbrush with advanced technology. When you receive your DiamondClean toothbrush it comes with three brush heads. This gives you the option to test the AdaptiveClean, the DiamondClean standard and the InterCare standard brush heads. When it is time for replacement heads, the whole range of Philips click-on Sonicare brush heads is compatible. You can find an overview here.
5 brushing modes leave nothing to wish for. While the daily clean mode is standard, you can also choose gum care with a gentle gum massage. The sensitive mode would be more gentle to your teeth and gums. Surface stains can be taken care of with the white mode. And if you do need more, the deep clean mode will take of that.
Necessary or useful features compliment the brushing mode choice. For instance, there is a quadrant timer and a 2-minute timer build into the brush handle.
On the other hand, why Philips did not build it with a pressure sensor is beyond me. With it, this would have been a nearly perfect rechargeable toothbrush. Without it, it is a good looking device that lacks one of the most important features in my opinion.
What the Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush also not have though is connectivity. It would have been a nice extra feature. Additionally it could provide the pressure sensor that is lacking in the handle. Maybe we will see an update this year.
This is the most stylish sonic toothbrush of the Philips Sonicare line. The DiamondClean sonic toothbrush has a slim handle with just one nicely integrated button. No gaps or rubber pads that could get dirty. A small illuminated icon at the bottom informs you about the battery status.
The elegant charger glass looks much better on your bathroom shelf than the usual plastic devices. Although it takes up a bit more space than a plastic base, you will not really notice it. The bottom features the same color option as the handle.
The Sonicare DiamondClean travel case is not just the usual box to keep your handle and brush head clan in while traveling. This one can be used to actually charge the battery via an included USB cord and wall adapter that come with the handle. Contrary to other travel cases where you would have to pack the charger as well, this saves you one other item to carry around with you.
Battery and Charger
The brush handle contains a Lithium ION battery. A full charge will provide you with about three weeks of brushing time. That is the longest period available for rechargeable toothbrushes at the moment.
You can recharge it by either placing it in the already mentioned charger glass or use the also included USB travel case. A very useful addition. And to be honest, without this extra charging option, I think no one would even consider taking this toothbrush on a trip. Fortunately with this sonic toothbrush Philips not only included the USB cord but also a wall adapter.
The multi-voltage glass charger might not be travel worthy, but if you plan to relocate in a region where voltage differs the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean HX9392 can move with you.
In case you ever run into problem with your electric toothbrush, Phillips has various support channels for you. Starting with F.A.Q.s, an online manual to contact via email, chat or phone. A customer-friendly 2-year limited warranty is also given for this product..
The Philips DiamondClean HX9332 comes in rose gold with glass charger and a travel case. The model number for the amethyst version is HX9372/10. If you prefer a white toothbrush with the same features, the model number is HX9332/10. The number of the the black edition is HX9352/10 and pink is model no. HX9362/10.
