Philips Sonicare 2 Series Review

The Philips Sonicare 2 Series electric toothbrush is a basic Sonicare model. It does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models, but it is definitely a good electric toothbrush. Read my full review below.

Philips Sonicare 2 Series toothbrush review

My Philips Sonicare 2 Series Review

This basic Sonicare toothbrush has a slim handle that easily also fits smaller hands. It is available in 6 different colors. The charger is not much wider than the handle, so it has a very small footprint. Ideal if your bathroom shelf has limited space.

When it comes to cleaning modes, you do not have a lot of choices. It just has one. And in my opinion this is sufficient in most cases.

Included is one ProResults plaque control brush head. If you like it, fine, if not there are several other Philips brush heads available that fit this handle.

If this is your first sonic toothbrush, you might also like the easy-start feature. Over the first 14 uses speed is slowly increased so you can get used to the sonic experience.

The battery lasts for about two weeks and the small charger works with 110-220 V. That is important if you plan to take your electric toothbrush with you when you travel abroad. No travel case, though. The battery indicator lets you know if you need to recharge.

The one feature I really missed in the Philips Sonicare 2 Series electric toothbrush is a pressure sensor. I tend to use too much force when I brush my teeth and need it if I do not want to damage my gums in the long run.

A lithium-ion battery would also have been nice.

Support is similar to all other Philips Sonicare toothbrushes with F.A.Q.s, online manual, email, chat and phone contact options. This toothbrush comes with a 2-year limited warranty in case you run into technical problems.

This is a basic electric toothbrush with sonic technology at a great price. The absence of a pressure sensor did cost it a few points.

You can buy the Philips Sonicare 2 Series electric toothbrush online. Most suppliers even offer free shipping.
